Sports Premium Impact Review

The school is extremely proud of its sport provision. In the last year our Platinum Sports Status was confirmed. We were also awarded the "Virtual Games" award during the COVID lockdown.

We are a part of the local pyramid of schools, "The Leighton/Linslade School Sports Partnership",  and take part in a large number of extra curricular competitive sports over the year. The school also has specialist sports provision. We also host a large number of extra curricular sporting activities both in the mornings and after school. The vast majority of our pupils take part in these over the year.

Each year the school receives "Sports Premium" funding. This is provided by the DfE to allow schools to invest in the quality of provision in physical development.

PE grant 2021-2022.

For this financial year, the school received received £17,280.

The majority of this spend is used to maintain the high quality provision already in place. We further invest in staff training to provide high quality provision during P.E. lessons.

As the school has been so successful with our P.E. provision, the majority of this spend will be to maintain what is already in place. We will, however, be continuing to further investing in staff training to provide high quality provision during P.E. lessons and at lunchtime as well as improve our P.E. resources.
